In this Tutorial, You will learn:

  • How to groom a Bedlington Terrier to breed standard, creating the unique curved top line and narrow, rounded head
  • Techniques for safe clipper work using a 50 blade in reverse on sensitive areas, including the ears, neck, chin, and tail, while avoiding clipper burn
  • Step-by-step process for setting the distinctive top line and underline, using curved and straight shears for smooth blending
  • Methods for creating the “rat tail” by clipping tightly underneath while tapering the upper side
  • Scissoring techniques to blend the flat ribbed sides into the rounded top line, ensuring a seamless transition from the hindquarters to the neck and head
  • Shaping the Bedlington’s unique “hare feet,” trimming the tops of the toes to highlight length and keeping the toes clean and tight without excess bulk
  • Tips for creating the characteristic narrow head with no visible stop, combing and scissoring to form a straight line from the occiput to the nose
  •  How to shape the ear tassels, either straight across or in a triangle, depending on client or breed preference
  • Blending techniques for smooth transitions between clipped and scissored areas, maintaining the breed’s characteristic curves
