Block 4 is an advanced stage of the Industry Certification Pathway. It focuses on refining technique, decision-making, and consistency across a wide range of professional grooming situations.

This Block is intentionally paced to support long-term skill development in real working environments.

Assessments are completed after coursework, with flexible options for submission.

Where this Block fits in the pathway
Block 4 marks the transition from foundational pet grooming into advanced professional practice. It is completed alongside ongoing practical work and challenges students to refine technique, manage complex grooms, and work to higher technical standards.

This Block forms part of the final stages of the Industry Certification Pathway.

Entry requirements
Block 4 is the next stage of the Industry Certification Pathway for students who have successfully completed Blocks 1, 2, and 3 through igroomschool. It is designed to support the transition from structured training into confident, independent professional practice.

Groomers with significant prior training and industry experience may also be eligible to apply for direct entry to Block 4. Direct entry is assessed individually to ensure existing skills, knowledge, and experience align with the expectations of this stage of the pathway.

What happens next
Following successful completion of Block 4, students progress into the final stage of the Industry Certification Pathway, continuing to refine advanced techniques and professional standards.
